Cenforce 100 is a drug that contains 100mg of the active ingredient Sildenafil citrate and is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.
Cenforce is a PDE5 inhibitor – this means it inhibits the action of the enzyme PDE5 in order to relax the muscles of the blood vessels in the penis thereby increasing blood flow to produce an erection. This effect however is achieved with the presence of sexual stimulation.
How to take Cenforce 100 Mg
Cenforce 100 mg is a prescribed medication for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and should be consumed as per instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
The general guidelines for taking Cenforce are:
- Take Cenforce about 60 minutes before planned sexual activity
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush, chew, or break it
- It can be taken with or without food, but taking it on an empty stomach may help in its faster absorption
- Do not take more than one tablet within a 24-hour period
Side effects
Cenforce may cause common side effects which usually last a few hours. The common side effects are, but not limited to the following:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
- Upset stomach
- Nasal congestion
- Flushing (redness, warmth)
- Nausea
- Back pain or muscle pain
When serious side effects are experienced, the medication must be stopped and an immediate medical help must be sought. Some serious side effects are, but not limited to:
- Fainting
- Sudden vision loss or decrease in vision
- Sudden hearing loss or ringing in the ears
- Painful and prolonged erection
- Heat attack symptoms (chest pain, nausea, sweating, pain spreading to jaw or shoulder)
- Irregular heartbeat
- Swelling in hands, feet and ankles
- Shortness of breath
- Seizure
- Lightheadedness
