🦁 Safari Booking Overview

All safari bookings for Gir National Park must be made through the official Gujarat Forest Department portal.

The park remains open for safaris from mid-October to mid-June and is closed during the monsoon season from 16th June to 15th October .

🧾 Permit Charges

Permit charges are applicable per vehicle (up to 6 persons + 1 child between 3–12 years):

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday):
    • Indian Nationals: ₹800
    • Foreign Nationals: ₹6,560
  • Weekends & Festival Days:
    • Indian Nationals: ₹1,000
    • Foreign Nationals: ₹8,200​

*Note: One e-permit allows a maximum of 6 persons plus one child (3–12 years) .

Winter Season (16th October to 28th/29th February):

  • Morning: 6:45 AM – 9:45 AM
  • Evening: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM​

Summer Season (1st March to 15th June):

  • Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Evening: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM​
